Frequently asked questions
What organizations ask before booking
What’s included in the workshop fee? ▾
Everything: facilitation by trained lived-experience specialists, the PICS Workbook for every participant, meals or snacks per program, free online CPR certification access for returning-citizen workshops, attendance tracking, and a written summary at close. There are no add-on charges.
Do participants pay anything? ▾
No. Workshops are funded by the booking organization, grants, or community sponsors — never out of participants’ pockets. Sponsored Family Support workshops are presented free to every family who attends.
Where do workshops take place? Can they be virtual? ▾
Both. We deliver on-site anywhere in Michigan — at agencies, workplaces, campuses, congregations, and community sites — and virtually by live video nationwide. The host provides the room; BCMM brings everything else.
How does booking work, and how fast? ▾
A 20-minute scope call, then a proposal within one week — fixed pricing, deliverables, measurement plan, W-9, certificate of insurance, and references included. Seats are limited; reserving a workshop package guarantees placement and certification access.
Is this therapy or clinical treatment? ▾
No — BCMM delivers psychoeducation and peer support, built from lived experience and clearly scoped to complement clinical services, not replace them. Many treatment providers and courts use our programming alongside clinical care.
Are CE hours available for the Professional Training? ▾
Continuing-education hours for licensed professionals are in development. Every attendee currently receives completion documentation, and organizations booking now will be notified the moment accredited hours are available.
What if we can’t fund it from our budget? ▾
Workshops are grant-fundable, and community sponsors regularly underwrite cohorts and family sessions through our 501(c)(3) fiscal partner, Urban H2O Foods (tax-deductible). Tell us your situation — we’ll help you find the route.

Can we see the program before committing? ▾
Yes — book the free 45-minute PICS overview, a lunch-and-learn introduction to the framework and programs for your leadership or staff. No cost, no commitment.
